About Bricks of Belonging

Bricks of Belonging is a community-focused LEGO® building project in East Sussex, creating welcoming spaces where people can build, connect, and feel a sense of belonging.

Our Purpose

Building connection through creativity

Bricks of Belonging was created to reduce social isolation and strengthen community wellbeing through shared creative activity. We believe something as simple as sitting around a table of LEGO® bricks can help conversations flow naturally and relationships grow.

Our sessions are free to attend (donations welcome) and are open to adults, families, carers and anyone who would like a calm, inclusive space to connect.

What Makes Us Different

  • Low-pressure, welcoming environment
  • No experience needed
  • Inclusive facilitation style
  • Focus on belonging, not performance
  • Community-based venues in East Sussex
Where We Work

Rooted in East Sussex

We currently run sessions in Hailsham and are expanding into other parts of Wealden and East Sussex including Uckfield and surrounding communities.

Our goal is to make creative, community-based wellbeing sessions accessible across the region — particularly for those who may feel isolated or new to the area.

Part of a Bigger Vision

Bricks of Belonging is brought to you by Instructions Not Required, a social enterprise delivering LEGO®-based educational and community experiences.

Together, we combine creativity, learning and community engagement to build stronger local connections.

Build. Connect. Belong.

Whether you come for a single session or become part of the regular community, our aim is simple: to create a space where everyone feels welcome.
